Dr. Lisa Strohman is the founder and director of the Digital Citizen Academy, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of students, parents and educators through the resources, tools and knowledge needed to foster a healthy balance with technology. DCA offers research-based education, prevention and diversion programs that are professionally designed to inform, protect and support young children, teenagers and adults impacted by issues resulting from technology use and overuse. As a licensed clinical psychologist, Dr. Strohman has spent more than a decade working with individual, family and adolescent clients struggling with issues including depression, anxiety and addiction.

Dr. Strohman has been featured in a wide variety of media including The Doctors, Fox News, PBS News, Crime Watch Daily, CBS News, Forbes, Fast Company, The Huffington Post, CNN, Dr. Drew and many more.

Recognizing the growing challenges parents now face with their children, and the increasingly serious issues her young patients are dealing with due to our growing dependency on technology, Dr. Strohman was inspired to develop DCA to help prepare students by teaching them to understand and utilize the advantages of technology, while making sure they are protected and equipping them with the tools to prevent the dangers that can undermine their safety.
